I’m currently in the middle of a Twin Peaks marathon. It’s been over a decade since I last watched the series, and it has aged about as well as a television show can. Well, the first fifteen episodes have, at least. It’s crazy how quickly the show devolved into a steaming mess: one episode you get the David Lynch–directed gem that wraps up the Laura Palmer murder mystery; just a few episodes later, you’re forced to deal with David Duchovny in drag.
As often happens, this viewing marathon has made me want to compose a list. Here are my top eleven favorite shows that had thirty or fewer episodes:
1. Twin Peaks
2. The Office (UK)
3. Tenacious D
4. Freaks and Geeks
5. It’s Your Move
6. Undeclared
7. The Ben Stiller Show
8. Voyagers!
9. Battlestar Galactica (original series)
10. Dungeons & Dragons
11. Tales of the Gold Monkey
I feel like maybe I’m missing something there. A little help, please! And don’t suggest My So-Called Life. Thanks.
WHY I’M ANGRY TODAY
I still haven’t figured out the NY Times Saturday crossword.
